Frequently asked questions
We advise you to contact the ski school by email beforehand if you or your child have an allergy, an illness, or a limitation. It is important to us that all employees are well informed about the allergy, illness, or limitation. For us to protect the members of our staff, the skischool reserves the right to deny the participant in taking part in the ski course, attending the kindergarten, or joining lunch because of the measures (e.g., the use of an EpiPen) that have to be taken to prevent the allergy, illness or limitation.
When it is agreed upon that your child can take part in the course, he/she must have a note on the front side of the ski school vest (plastic sack) mentioning the allergy, illness, or limitation.
Should our staff doubt the state of health of the participant, body temperature measurement for example, could be implemented. The skischool reserves the right to deny a participant from taking part in a course or attending the kindergarten when he/she has a fever.
We do not allow our staff to administer any kind of medication.
To protect our employees and other guests, participants with an infectious disease are excluded from taking part in any class or kindergarten.
In our ski school, children are assigned to groups based on their ski level, language, and age. If your child wants to be in the same group as friends or siblings and their ski levels are similar, please inform us of this request on the first day at the meeting point during group placement - we will do our best to make it possible. There is no need to mention this in an online booking. However, if there is a difference in ski level and you still want the children to stay together, they will be placed in a group based on the level of the weakest child, and the more experienced child will need to adjust to the weaker child.
It is possible to switch groups. If somebody should not fit into a specific group, he/she can change into another one. It is also possible to change your ski course for a snowboard course or vice versa, provided that a suitable group is available. There may be an extra charge. You can also rebook your group class to private lessons. You will need to pay the price difference or you will get a refund.
Beginner and advanced children can join a course every day of the week from Sunday till Friday. During Christmas and Spring Holidays, group courses will also take place on Saturday. Adult group lessons for beginners start on Sundays and when there´s enough new participants, on Mondays aswel. Advanced to expert adults can join a course every day of the week from Sunday till Thursday. On Friday and Saturday there are no ski courses for adults.
The group class schedule is as follows: (children/adults) 09:45 till 12:00 and from 13:00 till 15:00 (lunch can vary app. 30 minutes). Lunchtime for children is from 11:45 till 13:00. The instructor will join the children who have their lunch included in one of the restaurants.
Children can easily take a break day during the ski course. You can simply book a multi-day ski course online. During the online booking process, you can specify in the “Remarks” field on which day the break day will take place. We will then adjust the end date of the course by one day.
Please note, however, that we cannot guarantee that your child will remain in the same group after the break day, as the rest of the group continues learning and practicing, which may lead to different skill levels. We also kindly ask you to inform the ski instructor on-site about the planned break day.
Extension days can only be booked if you first book 3 (half) days of lessons, if desired. When booking individual lesson days, the days are charged according to the price list, and the price difference is not applied.
- Most children participate in the full-day (4-hour) ski lessons. Please note that groups are not separated based on half-day or full-day participation.
- Children in full-day lessons continue with the learning program in the afternoon. As a result, a group change may be necessary after one or more days due to varying skill levels within the group.
- Please note that children enrolled in half-day ski lessons must be picked up by their parents at the location where the rest of the group takes their lunch break. For advanced groups, this may be anywhere in the Zillertal Arena. You can ask the ski instructors daily for the exact time and location of the lunch break.
Wearing a helmet during the ski course is obligatory till the age of 14! For adults, it isn't a MUST, but we advise you to wear a helmet for your own safety.
During Christmas and Spring holidays, there are group lessons for children every day.
If your child is ill and can not participate in the ski course, please give notice. You can go to one of our offices or to our meeting point and let the instructor know. Refunds are only made with a doctor’s note. Due to health reasons, participants with a contagious disease can not take part in a course or kindergarten.
When bringing your child to our day care, please bring the following items with you: diapers, wipes, teddy bear, pacifier, sleeping bag, extra underpants etc. Don't forget to leave your mobile phone number at the desk. In the childcare area, there is a separate sleeping room for the youngest children, where they have the opportunity to take a nap.

You do not have to buy a lift card for children born after 01.01.2020. They can make free use of all ski lifts. More information about lift cards and prices can be found hier!
The kind of food your child will get during the course, will depend on the restaurant where they will be having lunch. A few dishes you can expect are: French fries with schnitzel/sausages/fish sticks, Kaiserschmarnn, spaghetti and pizza. Most of the time there will be some sweets after lunch.
The maximum number of participants per group is 12, but in practice the groups are mostly smaller. If necessary, there will be 2 or 3 ski instructors at the Bambi and Bambini groups.
The meeting time and place for the ski course is printed on the tickets you have been given in one of our booking offices. Try to be at the right meeting point in time, in this way the group will be able to start the course on time. Ask the instructor at what time and place you can pick up your child at the end of the day.
Of course children and adults with a mental disability are welcome to join our ski school. We do advise booking private lessons, in this way the instructor can give you his/her full attention.
We accept; cash (€), Maestro, Mastercard or Visa.
Of course, it is possible to change to a different lesson. If we notice that you or your child are too advanced or not yet ready for a particular group, a group change can be arranged. It is also possible to switch from ski lessons to snowboard lessons, or vice versa, provided that a suitable group is available. Please note that additional costs may apply. If you have booked a group lesson and would like to change it to a private lesson, this is also possible. However, you will need to pay the difference in price.
We advice you to make a reservation in advance (group course or private lesson). Only in this way we can guarantee you will get your desired ski lessons. Online booking? Click HERE!
At lunchtime the children groups will be spread over the different restaurants in the skiing area. The faster groups will normally eat further away and beginners will have lunch at the restaurant at the Arena Centre or at Seppi's. The instructor will let the parents know in the morning at the meeting point, where the group will have lunch that day. If your child doesn't have lunch included, you can give the instructor money for that day. Or you can ask the instructor where and when you can pick up your child and where and when to return it after lunch.
The lesson days should preferably take place on consecutive days, as the groups progress through the program daily and learn something new each day. If your child wishes to take a break day, a group change may be necessary. For children aged 2 and 3 years, taking a break day is not a problem.
All guests with a valid lift card can make use of the free shuttle bus in the village. For more information click HERE.
Our ski school does not rent out ski equipment. When taking part in one of our ski classes, it is important for your child to be well prepared. Think of the following items: well fitting (warm) ski clothing, decent ski-material (good, new skis will progress the learning process), sunglasses/goggles, sun cream, proper waterproof gloves, tissues and a snow-cap.
Extension days can only be booked if you first book 3 (half) days of lessons, if desired. When booking individual lesson days, the days are charged according to the price list, and the price difference is not applied.
Children up to 4 years old, can switch from a regular ski course to a combi-ski course or vice versa. If you have booked a 5 day ski a class, we can rebook it to a 5 day combined ski course (2 hours ski course and 2 hours kindergarten ) or vice versa. There are no extra costs.
During the skiing course, it is not possible for the ski instructor to change a diaper. The instructor will guide the children to the bathroom, will help them getting dressed and undressed, and will assist them with cutting their food.
Eating vegan or vegetarian is generally not a problem. The local restaurants offer both vegan and vegetarian meal options. Please inform the ski instructor at the beginning of the course about any dietary preferences or requirements so they can be taken into account during lunchtime supervision.
